Role
Senior Software Engineer
To develop high performance, mission critical applications in line with technical designs and the delivery of PL/SQL and Oracle reports into test and production environments successfully.
All about You/Experience
Should be able to:
‘ Develop high performance, mission critical applications across multiple projects in line with technical designs.
‘ Deliver PL/SQL, reporting (using Oracle Reports Builder and BI Publisher) and ETL solutions across multiple projects into test and production environment successfully.
‘ Develop and deliver database designs across multiple projects to application teams and support designs in development test and production environments.
‘ Perform the role of a technical team lead giving direction and support to other members within a project.
‘ Reporting to the Principal Oracle Developer and the line manager, the duties and accountabilities of the role are: Work closely across projects with the team members of the Development function in the implementation of application design of payment subsystems.
‘ Work with System Analysts, Architects and Development managers to ensure database designs and/or code is developed according to the agreed requirements and timelines.
‘ Produce database designs across projects to agreed Quality standards
‘ Ensure code is developed to agreed Quality standards, Design principles, Coding Standards and Enterprise Architecture.
‘ Create and assure development designs and the development process across multiple projects.
‘ Ensure code is successfully unit/component tested before delivery to central test.
‘ Accountable to the team lead for delivery of the above
‘ Participate in the creation and review of technical option papers / specifications
‘ Providing mentoring to less experienced developers
‘ Actively participate in recruitment to supplement the development team where needed.
‘ Provide HL Technical solution and cost estimates for IT propositions.
‘ Contribute to continual departmental/function improvement by identifying gaps/weakness and implementing remedial solutions.
‘ Identify opportunities to strengthen departmental processes, tools and ways of working
