Excellent opportunity for a Senior Research Scientist to join an established biopharmaceutical research organisation specialising in clinical drug screening with the view of optimising treatment decisions for patients with cancer.
In this multifaceted position, you will join a dynamic, and expanding team of Scientists responsible for the design, development, and execution of in vitro cell-based experiments. You will be tasked with successfully delivering on client projects along with developing bespoke, patient derived cell models from tumor biopsies testing their drug sensitivity in-house. As a Senior member of the organisation, you will be expected to work with minimal supervision, and guide/ mentor junior scientists when required.
Experience: –
* PhD in Cell/ Molecular Biology with ~2 years post-doctoral experience OR BSc/ MSc with significant industry experience (4-5 years).
* Extensive experience with mammalian cell culture experience, ideally with primary cells
* Experience performing in vitro cell-based assays
* Significant experience with immunofluorescent assays & image capture are essential
A PhD in a relevant field is preferred but not essential. Candidates with an academic background are also welcome to apply.
