Senior Java Developer – Investment Industry – Remote First

Location: Central London

Salary: 70,000 – 85,000 per annum

A Leading Global Investment company are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with experience in the finance or investment industry to join our team in Central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing complex financial applications and systems, as well as supporting and maintaining existing ones.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing complex financial applications and systems using Java and related technologies.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices and standards.
  • Developing and maintaining microservices architecture and APIs.
  • Working with AWS services and deploying applications in the cloud.
  • Using Python for data analysis and automation.
  • Participating in code reviews and providing feedback to other developers.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging applications in production.
  • Leading and participating in design, code, and test inspections throughout the product life cycle to contribute technical expertise and to identify issues.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Java development, including experience with Java 8 or above.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and API development.
  • Experience with AWS services and deploying applications in the cloud.
  • Experience with Python for data analysis and automation.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

The package for this role includes:

  • A competitive salary of 70,000 – 85,000 per annum.
  • A performance bonus of up to 15%.
  • A company bonus of 6,500.
  • A pension contribution of up to 18%.

The office time for this role will be on a hybrid model.
