We are looking for Senior Data Scientist to work with us on data science-driven design and development of cutting-edge systems as part of our Universal Credit digital service.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll be working on ambitious data-driven systems, looking to create simple data-lead solutions for complex problems within our Universal Credit digital services team. You'll be working closely with a variety of teams and stakeholders to outline, design and develop these innovations with the claimant at the centre of our strategy, improving the way that millions of UK citizens interact with our essential services.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- You will help drive the experimentation of new and emerging, technologies, analytical capabilities, and data models to understand their potential and value for the organisation. You have a deep understanding and experience of Artificial intelligence, synthetic data, machine learning and a passion for new and innovative technology.
- You can communicate effectively to inspire and influence others. Particularly with new tech and data.
- You can effectively collaborate to build peer and senior relationships across the organisation and the Innovation eco-system including, across government, academia, business and start up's share.
- You can work with and challenge senior stakeholders. You can adapt the approach according to constraints.
- Be able to seek out innovative and exciting new diverse analytical and data driven initiatives that can inspire change.
- Understand how a high performing Innovation function operates and contributes to solving diverse cross cutting problems through rapid experimentation.
- You have experience of leading and inspiring multidisciplinary teams composed on technologies, data scientists and other professions to achieve breakthrough results. Able to work in fast paced changing environment with experience of agile working.
