RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Scripting/DevOps Senior Developer in Boca Raton, FL. Responsibilities:
- Scripting/DevOps Senior Developer will develop automated solutions to migrate database and application infrastructures into the public cloud using infrastructure-as-code frameworks
- Support database and application infrastructures in the public cloud
- Support database monitoring infrastructures in the cloud and on premise
- Research and deploy new technologies to drive innovation
- Writing and maintaining systems and database documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
- Improve software development processes within the database team
- As a Scripting/DevOps Senior Developer, you will work with operations and the development teams to drive automation priorities
- Willingness to learn so that candidate can contribute effectively in DBA Support and Infrastructure
Job Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems (MIS) or related discipline or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of programming experience on Linux and Unix environments using one or more general programming languages
- 3+ years in developing and using configuration and versioning management automation tools by using Ansible, Chef, Git, etc.
- 2+ years of DevOps development/working experience on Linux and Unix environments
- 1+ years of experience in developing tools/playbooks/modules using HashiCorp Terraform will be an added plus
Technical Skills:
- Coding and scripting experience – (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python or equivalent)
Complimentary programming skillset:
- Perl and PHP programming experience
- Web and API development experience using Python and/or PHP web frameworks
- Experience with other general programming languages, (e.g., Go, Node.js, Ruby and Rust)
- Working experience with Git and Git repository hosting service like Gitlab and GitHub
- Experience working with enterprise RDBMS such as MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience working with containerized workloads such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Capable of handling multiple assignments and additional responsibilities
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery Tools – (e.g., Gitlab, GitHub)
- Solid understanding of Cloud Service Providers such as Azure and/or AWS
- Experience working in hybrid environments, (e.g., bare metal, cloud, containers, and virtual environments)
- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting distributed systems and replication
