QA Analyst – London – Hybrid
A Global Financial Services provider working at the heart of the world's financial, energy and commodities markets covering FX, Rates, Credit, Equities and Energy & Commodities are looking for a QA Analyst to join their team in London. Clients include banks, insurance companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy producers and refiners, as well as risk and compliance managers and charities.
Skills & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate test activities across multiple projects and product streams to develop and execute coherent, achievable, and realistic test execution plans
- Ensure deliverables (such as user stories & requirements) that provide input in to test execution are completed to a consistent level of detail
- Define test project scope, goals, and deliverables to support the business initiatives
- Facilitation of sprint ceremonies including sprint retrospectives, planning and backlog grooming
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely, clear, and concise manner
- Communicate with the wider technology teams to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues such as environment readiness and reference data
- Liaise with test management to agree and support the implementation of testing strategies
- Management and collaboration of the UAT process
- Assist and facilitate prioritisation of software defects and enhancements using defect management tools such as Jira
- Introduce and adopt Agile development principles where possible
- Introduce test automation techniques where possible and contribute to test automation strategies and execution
- Work closely with developers to develop unit and automated system integration tests
- Develop test execution packs and test strategies
- Understanding of Continuous Integration, Dependency Management or Source Control tools
- Experience with Linux or Windows operating systems – configuration and command lines
- Proven experience in test execution, problem solving, documentation and working to tight deadlines
- Understanding the full project life cycle from requirements capture through to implementation and delivery
- Quality and control, with excellent attention to detail
- Ability and experience to work efficiently in geographically distributed teams
It would be advantageous to have in depth knowledge of at least 2 of the following areas: Interest Rate Derivatives, Basis Swaps, Swaptions, Inflation Options and swaps, Asset swaps, Commodities, EU/UK power and Gas, Oil, coal, precious metals and Freight, Commodity derivatives, Options and Futures, Bonds, Fixed Income – e.g. Gov', sovereign, corporate bonds, Repos, Credit, CDS emerging market and middle eastern, Equities, Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, Equity Finance, Structured Products, Compliance, MTFs, MiFID, FCA, EMIR and market surveillance, Front Office Process, broking methods voice and electronic, trade and order capture, Middle Office Process, control and processing of transactions, Back Office Process, Clearing, Settlement, Invoicing, payment and Confirmations.
