I am currently working with a world leading brand who are looking for a Principal AWS cloud architect.
As the AWS Principal Cloud Architect you will be responsible for defining clients cloud architecture strategy and leading its execution by working collaboratively with the wider business.
Responsibilities:
Define the cloud architecture strategy for the business, ensuring alignment with theoverall IT strategy.
Be the technical point of contact for all cloud architecture aspects, providing technologyconsultancy and assurance to business and IT colleagues, clearly articulating and advising
on technical constraints, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies in a timely manner
and in a format suitable for the consumption of non-technical business stakeholders.
Direct, produce and govern high quality, fit for purpose designs that adhere to current.● Review and approve high and low designs produced by the Cloud Centre of Excellence.
Follow cloud technology developments in the market and leverage this knowledge in architectingsolutions ensuring solutions are future-proof.
Must haves:
At least 5 years experience working as a Cloud Technical Architect, with robust knowledge of AWS products.
Experience in capturing requirements, facilitating business and technical design, and negotiating scope and roadmap with clients, based on a sound understanding of the cost/benefit profile of each deliverable.
Proven track record of working in a complex and multi-faceted organisation using a wide variety of current and legacy IT technology components.
Possesses an innovative mindset to create new options and challenge the status quoapplying creativity and judgement in developing new approaches and solutions.
Anticipates and clearly defines problems, diagnoses causes, identifies solutions and creates collaborative action plans.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concept to non-technical stakeholders.
Constantly looking to develop their own skills and knowledge.
Strong influencing and collaboration skills, working in a team environment and across large and complex organisations.
Exposure to both waterfall based and agile/scrum based methodologies.
