Designs and develops Cloud based server less applications. Develops infrastructure as code and automates the process of building and deploying applications to Cloud. Performs code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing, using automated testing technologies Jest, Jasmine, Karma, and Protractor. Builds automated pipelines using Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) frameworks — Jenkins, Docker, and Concourse. Implements industrial-grade APIs on gateway products — Apigee. Builds messaging and event-driven architectures, using Docker and Kubernetes. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.u00A0

Primary Responsibilities:u00A0

  • Participates in architecture design teams.u00A0

  • Defines and implements application-level architecture.u00A0

  • Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.u00A0

  • Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.u00A0

  • Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.u00A0

  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.u00A0

  • Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.u00A0

  • Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.u00A0

  • Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.u00A0

  • Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.u00A0

  • Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.u00A0

  • Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.u00A0

  • Advises senior management on technical strategy.u00A0

  • Mentors junior team members.u00A0

  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.u00A0u00A0

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.u00A0

Education and Experience:u00A0

Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience performing architecture design and development of Enterprise scale Cloud server-less applications for brokerage industry with tax cost basis.u00A0

Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) year of experience in the job offered or three (3) year of experience performing architecture design and development of Enterprise scale Cloud server-less applications for brokerage industry with tax cost basis.u00A0

  • Demonstrated Expertise (u201CDEu201D) performing architectural design and development of Enterprise scale applications to manage complex data and build RESTful Web services (SOAP and RESTful), using XML, JSON, Java/Node JS, and Cloud technologies; developing sharable libraries and event driven architecture patterns for corporate actions; and creating Golden Announcements records, using Amazon Web Services (AWS) Lambdas and Step Functions (for processing), Cloud services (for event driven processing), and API gateway (to expose processed announcement data).u00A0

  • DE developing and maintaining functional and performant end-to-end tests, and integrating with CI/CD pipelines; performing test orchestration and automating build and deploy process reporting, using Jenkins, Concourse, and UDeploy; and deploying and supporting applications in production, using Jest (for functional and end-to-end testing), and JMeter and Gatling (for performance tests).u00A0

  • DE developing and creating infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC); and building CI/CD pipelines to create automated infrastructure, using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Serverless frameworks.u00A0

  • DE performing manual and automated testing, using Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies — Jest, Cucumber, Karma, Jasmine, Junit, Selenium, and Jenkins; and creating Web application performance improvements, using Java memory profiling and Web page testing tool.u00A0
