The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Principal Software Engineer in testing to join our BI compliance group. As a skilled associate you will be applying your strong software development and test automation skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve FBT customer-facing software solutions. You will also be enabling your Scrum team in accepting test automation frameworks and standard methodologies to ensure we are building the right product the right way.
The Team
Fidelity Brokerage Technology Business Intelligence group provides Analytics and Reporting services to Fidelity Institutional organization, which deals with Brokerage, Clearing & Custody business throughout the organization.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor s or master s degree in a technology related field like Computer Science or Engineering with 12+ years of experience.
- 10+ years of experience with designing and building ETL solution while incorporating TEST automation frameworks in highly scalable distributed data processing systems.
- Experience in delivering software in the Agile environment
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines a plus
- Experience working in the financial Industry
- Expert level knowledge of SQL, Data Warehousing, Data mart concepts & implementations especially in relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, Netezza, Snowflake
- Experience and Participation in the development, enhancement and maintenance of database applications both as an individual contributor and as a team member
- Experience in the identification, isolation, resolution and communication of problems within the production environment.
- Designing, building, and maintaining the BI Reporting Platform (both internal and external/client facing applications) by closely working with Analysts
- Working experience with ETL technologies especially Informatica
- Exposure to Snowflake is preferred
- Expert in SQL and Stored Procedures on any relational database
- 5+ years of experience in modern object-oriented programming languages like Python/Spark.
- 2+ years of experience in Snowflake & AWS, cloud technologies.
- Experience with shell scripting, scheduling tool
- Experience or understanding of the Agile software development methodology
- Collaborate with product teams to understand the current capabilities
- Follow the agile methodology and actively participate in all ceremonies
- Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Jenkins, Stash, Concourse, Artifactory) is a plus.
- Experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM) is a plus.
- Experience in Informatica IDQ tools, Address doctor etc. is a plus.
