Lead a software development team to design, implement, and test embedded multi-vehicle autonomy software systems utilizing AI, robot planning and optimization and machine learning algorithms.
Integrate autonomy software components and algorithms onto real-world unmanned aerial platforms
Develop competitive proposals and follow-on programs for acquisition and R&D customers, including AFLCMC, NAVAIR, DARPA, ONR, AFRL, and other government agencies and industry primes
Present technical results to internal and external customers
PhD or MS w/ 7+ years of relevant experience in software development of autonomy software systems, AI for robotics, machine learning, and/or robot planning/optimization techniques.
Mastery of C/C++
Proficiency with agile software development methodology as a scrum master
Experience with DevSecOps, software factories, and CI/CD pipelines
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience implementing AI and/or Machine Learning algorithms on real-world robot or vehicle prototypes
Proficiency with standard libraries used for AI, robotics, computer vision, and/or machine learning (e.g., ROS, scikit, etc.), esp. defense industry standards (UCS, UCI, OMS, FACE)
Experience as an M&S developer, integrating software with AFSIM
Experience in Human Systems Integration (HSI), User Interfaces (UI), Multi-Vehicle Tasking, and/or Mission Planning for Unmanned Systems
Experience with systems/software engineering processes, including development tools, configuration management, SysML/UML, DevOps, and test/QA methods
