Lead Data Engineer – Anywhere, USA

Pay Target $150k – $165k
Job Description:
Join a team of 3 other Data Engineers to also be the team lead. This is a 60% hands-on Data Engineering role with about 40% administrative / management work. The ETL components are working with Snowflake. Production systems with PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases. Working within AWS cloud environment. The company makes software and iOT hardware devices, including strong security applications. Data is in the terabyte and petabyte scale.
Company size is about 250 with a hybrid work environment and brick and mortar offices in the NorthEast, and West Coast.
Required Experience:
- 3+ years Data Engineering with Snowflake Data Warehouses
- 3+ years PostgreSQL, and My SQL
- 2+ years experience with AWS and it's tools:
- EMR
- Athena
- Lambda
- Kinesis
- S3
- Experience leading or hands-on-technically managing other Data Engineers (preferably 3 or more)
- Bachelors Degree
Bonus / Soft Skills:
- ETL Pipelines: Fivetran, Airflow, Talend
- Agile principles
- Python, or Java Scala
- Machine Learning programming
- Spark, Kafka, Presto, Hive
- Someone curious about newer technologies
- Actively participates in technical conversations
- Ability to prioritize and deliver on time
