LEAD DATA ENGINEER
100,000 – 120,000 + EQUITY

This role is with a rapidly growing FinTech Scale up who are looking to build out their data engineering team. They are looking to hire a Lead Data Engineer to work closely with the Engineering Manager and Architects to take their data platform & capability to the next level.
THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will join a small team of Data Engineers and get hands on to design and build the data platform further whilst also liaising with stakeholders across the business to gather and deliver on technical requirements.
This role will involve:
- Migrating data from the existing data warehouse to Snowflake on AWS.
- Creating robust data pipelines in Python, using infrastructure as code.
- Shape the data engineering team and mentor more junior engineers in the team.
- Implement best practices using CI/CD.
- Build and maintain reporting tools to support the wider data team.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Commercial experience using Terraform across multiple projects.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant field.
- Strong experience with Python for programming.
- Experience in Snowflake is beneficial.
- Cloud experience (ideally AWS).
- A software engineering mindset for unit testing/TDD.
THE BENEFITS:
The selected candidate will receive a salary between 100,000 – 120,000 depending on their experience and requirements as well as equity.
