One of the most well renowned and prolific fintech firms are hiring for dedicated and passionate Java Engineers. This particular client has migrated from being known as an investment bank, to a technology house given the amount of funding they have raised in order to improve their technology. They are looking for engineers who want to work on highly scalable and distributed systems on the highest funded project to date. As an engineer, you’d work on a platform that utilises the most cutting edge and up to date technology. You would be working with the markets leading engineers on a real time system that is responsible for processing ten of millions trade events per day. To prove that the quality of engineering is second to none, they have two inventors of the most utilised household programming and functional programming languages on site, therefore you will have an opportunity to work alongside some of the best engineers the market has to offer.
A strong candidate will possess a keen interest in driving the project forward through architectural decision making, taking entire ownership of all the projects in which you work, whilst maintaining the agile environment that already stands through writing well written and clean code.
Required Skills:
- 2+ years commercial experience coding in Java
Nice to have:
- Good design and problem-solving skills.
- Inside or outside of Finance career history.
- Polyglot engineers looking to be cross trained to leverage exposure.
- Computer science fundamentals (University degree)
- Proven background working in an Agile / XP way following TDD, ATDD, BDD, Pair Programming etc.
