We are currently working on a strategic hire at a brand new, pioneering technology house that’s already rivaling FAANG companies including Google and Meta. The company is incredibly heavily financially backed by a world-renowned financial organisation, making it one of the most highly funded technology offerings in the city. Uniquely, it retains its own modern start-up environment, following Agile best practices including the Spotify model.
The Role
As a Java Engineer, you would have the opportunity to work on a number of greenfield projects building out highly distributed, scalable systems using bleeding-edge technology including Java 15, AWS, REST API’s across a Microservice-based architecture. Most recently, they’ve launched their own challenger bank which is already rivaling Monzo and Starling Bank. Additionally, have several new top-secret projects currently under NDA, including one which will revolutionise the cloud computing world.
Requirements
- A qualification in Computer Science or related STEM Degree
- At least 2 years of commercial experience with Java, ideally utilising Spring or Spring boot
