Job; Java Developer – Remote (UK) or Hybrid (London)
This eCommerce/mCommerce company, headquartered in London is growing fast. To underpin that growth, they’re looking to expand their current Engineering team which operates globally. They’re looking for skilled and confident individuals to join them in the delivery and success of their flagship product, which addresses a global market for consumer mobile engagement and mobile commerce.
The Role;
They’re looking for a skilled Java Engineer with a winning attitude. Their successful candidate will be responsible for defining software requirements, writing clean and efficient code for various applications and running tests to improve system functionality. If you have hands-on experience with programming in Java and are interested in agile methodologies, they’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you’ll implement and maintain Java components and frameworks throughout their software development life cycle.
Skills and Experience;
- Experience as a Java Software Engineer, Java Developer or similar role
- Experience building Java EE applications
- Familiarity with Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
- Good knowledge of popular Java frameworks like JSF and Spring MVC
- Experience with test-driven development
Responsibilities;
- Participating in engineering teams’ agile ceremonies
- Analyse user and system requirements
- Design flowcharts to illustrate software solutions
- Write efficient code based on feature specifications
- Develop user interfaces
- Prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
- Design database architecture
- Test and debug Java applications
- Validate software functionality and security

- £’s; fully DoE approx. £80k (neg.) + benefits
- Location; your choice – either fully remote, based from their London (Bond Street) offices, or a hybrid blend of the two.
