The job on offer

Our GCP Senior Platform Engineers still have the chance to roll up their sleeves and frame everything as code, driving automation and infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native transformation projects, whilst orchestrating and leading scrums teams that leverage DevSecOps or SRE approaches and helping them to deliver unique solutions that leverage all that our hyperscale partners and their ecosystem can offer.

Capgeminis industry-leading cloud-native engineering community are at the top of their game. Responsible for ensuring some of the worlds most demanding applications are available, they refuse to be constrained by the limits of todays technology instead of developing for tomorrows needs.

Your role

As a Senior Platform Engineer, youll get the opportunity to:
Mentor teams and collaborate with others to find the best way to progress.
Make Product Owners visions into reality, transforming developers experiences and enabling organisations to make the most from cloud-native technologies.
Partner with strategy, enterprise architecture, and application colleagues across Capgemini and drive cloud automation and Kubernetes projects.
Attract, encourage, and develop our engineers, promoting the fun and excitement of leveraging the latest and best technology.

Your profile

Youll be a motivated tech professional with practical IT experience of cloud technologies, infrastructure and operations
Knowledge of cloud-native tools within Google Cloud Platform (ie: Cloud Build, Google Cloud Deployment Manager), languages and methods across a broad spectrum of technologies demonstrating knowledge of 1 or 2 areas of specialism e.g. containers, CI/CD pipelines, IaC. Knowledge of cloud native tools in other Hyperscalers would be beneficial.
Experience with source control and configuration management tools
Familiarity with IaC tools (ie: Terraform)
Experience of reviewing, verifying and validating code, troubleshooting and fixing bugs where required
Understanding of the breadth of cloud services available on the Google Platform and their use-case scenarios, including in depth knowledge of core areas.
Certified in Google Cloud Platform (ie: GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer) or working towards a Professional level cert were happy to support/fund you on this journey as part of your career development!. Certifications with other Hyperscalers is benefical.
Microservices platform knowledge will be value-add.
