DevOps Engineer (AWS) – UK/Remote

My client, a leading firm who is purely focused on enterprise architecture are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their ambitious and rapidly expanding team, helping them evolve their enterprise SaaS platform.
Position is 100% remote working.

The role
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimising our cloud hosted infrastructure. You’ll support the development teams to build and release their code in an efficient and constantly improving process. You’ll be free to champion new ideas and tech, through collaboration and teamwork. You’ll also help with internal technical projects and knowledge sharing.
This role would be ideally suited to a DevOps Engineer who has demonstrable experience with AWS, in a security-conscious delivery environment. You will be passionate about using the latest technologies and eager to be at the forefront of cloud best-practices. You’ll be given the opportunity to use your skills for a variety of projects.
What you’ll be doing
Designing and building highly scalable infrastructure services on AWS
Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using automation tools
Working closely with our internal delivery teams from initial concept and design to implementation, build and support
Heavily involved in the day-to-day deployment, testing and configuration of software releases, DevOps pipelines, monitoring tools, and other supporting technologies
Working with container-based technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
Working with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
Automate DevOps tasks as part of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
Your skills and experience
Must have
Robust knowledge of AWS
Proven track record of building infrastructure as code
Experience with containerization principles and frameworks such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
Experience with monitoring and alerting tools
Knowledge of cloud security management
