AWS DevOps Engineer – 60K DOE + 10% Annual BonusCentral LondonCareer Development Support | Mostly-Remote Working | 10% Annual BonusAda Meher are currently recruiting for a hybrid AWS DevOps Engineer role for a major UK-based infrastructure solutions provider for the broadcasting, smart meters, and satellite networking space.As a DevOps Engineer, you will be falling into the engineering function, joining a highly-talented team of 11. You will be working on an exciting large-scale project–a digital guide that millions of users access through various devices television sets, cable boxes, smartphone applications, and website users on a daily basis. This opportunity is worked on a hybrid basis, with an office presence of once/twice per month in their Central London office. Further to this, career development opportunities are also available with a dedicated Learning & Development team present to aid you in your career development aspirations!Key responsibilities: Develop and deploy cloud services through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Software testing and deployment pipelines Deploy and maintain application and service level monitoring Peer-review code contributions Aid in designing solutions and adding low level detail to planned work Provide operational support and maintenance for existing and new applications Architecture, implementation, deployment and management of AWS workloads, optimising security, availability, reliability and cost efficiencyMust haves: Have experience of implementing and maintaining automation tooling to enable Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) Hands-on experience with AWS for 3+ years Have experience using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tooling (such as Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) Proficient in a code version control system (such as Git) Demonstrable experience with JavaScript/NodeJS/TypeScript, Python, or another modern high-level programming language Be familiar with use and purpose of automated software testing frameworks Experience with containerisation technologiesNice to haves: AWS Certification: Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator Some experience of Database administration Experience working on platforms employing a Serverless and Event-driven architectures Hands-on experience with the following: AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS Fargate, RDS Aurora, API Gateway, ACM, EBS, ElastiCache, building with the CDK Key stakeholder managementDue to the nature of the project and the reputation of the organisation, candidates all across the UK have been sending applications.
