This thriving and innovative Cardiff based manufacturer is looking to add a Data Scientist / Analytics Engineer to its expanding Development / Technology team. They have recently secured a huge investment and will be looking to further expand the business in the coming months. This is a new role the business and the focus will be on designing, developing and maintaining a set of software tools that augments and validates the product and it's associated sensors.

Role & Responsibilities:

You will work as part of a small team responsible for

  • Applying advanced analytics to develop solutions which bring demonstrable value to the business.
  • Responsible for the ideation and development of Advanced Analytics / Machine Learning products
  • Use Data Science techniques to solve technical problems with a data driven approach
  • Perform data quality assessment, data cleansing and analytics.
  • Work alongside Software developers and engineers to translate algorithms into prototype solutions supporting the data visualisation

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • MSc in a "STEM" subject with at least2 years experience as a Data Scientist / Analytics Engineer
  • A background in real-time analytics development and deployment
  • Data science problem solving, using techniques such as Linear Regression, Random Forest, Classification etc
  • Experience of IoT and Telemetry systems, Python / Java, SQL and visualisation tools
