END-Labs is a location agnostic Company with an all-remote approach, meaning team members can be located anywhere in the world. However, for all positions, team members are asked to overlap some working hours within Pacific Standard Time (PST) to Eastern Standard Time (EST). About This Role
The team at END-Labs is looking for an ETL Data Engineer to join the Engineering Team, reporting to the VP of Engineering. The Data Engineer will join a team to design and implement performant, highly available data pipelines that make data available for reporting, extracts, and data APIs. The Data Engineer must have strong technical and problem solving skills and experience working with large data sets. In addition, an understanding of how to extract, transform, and load data efficiently is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Teams to design, develop, and implement effective data acquisition strategies
- Create technical documentation for new solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high quality deliverables
- Develop strategies for data acquisitions/ETL, archive policies, and implementation of various database solutions
- Translate business and stakeholder needs into long-term architecture solutions, including developing data and security policies
- Support data pre-processing for data science analysts
- Build out a repeatable ETL architecture and platform for long term data partnership integrations
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building data integrations with ETL tools; 7+ years of total related experience (higher education may be considered)
- 5+ years of experience implementing data pipelines for various sources of data
- Experience in or a passion for Fintech industry
- Proven experience with both relational and non-relational open source database platforms
- Knowledge of best practices for data warehouse / data lake preparation
- Experience with open source ETL platform and connector implementations
- Thorough knowledge of PL-SQL or like sequel language
- Know at least least one scripting language applicable to data processing (Python, Javascript)
- Bachelors degree required
- Solid understanding of continuous ETL and how to manage late/early arriving data
- Ability to understand and represent the technology, the business, and our users
- Self-starter, organized and detail oriented with strong communication skills
- Enjoyment for working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment

Salary Range
$140,000 – $160,000
