Data Engineer – Environmental Sciences – Net Zero Transition
You will work alongside a team of Data Scientists and Software Engineers to build out the critical data infrastructure for the Net Zero Transition.
You will organize, automate, and deploy the data pipelines that are fundamental to provide that understanding.
As the first Data Engineer on the team, you will have complete autonomy over their Data projects, and will be fundamental in shaping the next phase of their platform.
You'll be deeply embedded in the product team, with your work being deployed to clients every week. The team have already evolved Amazon's European Supply Chain to make it less carbon intensive, as well as this they have amended Just Eat's corporate meal delivery system.
They are constantly reimagining their processes, and recently upgraded their Airflow automation process to Dagster.
Which tools, technologies, and processes will you work with?
- Data processing with the standard scientific stack (Pandas, Numpy, Scipy) and beyond
- Automation with Dagster and Github Actions
- Deployment via GCP
- Containerised applications are the key to their technology vision allowing them to replicate production environments locally and scale services at will.
They offer strong training and development, as well as equity and regular company retreats!
If you want to make a difference this is the role for you – apply today to be considered!!
