The GSK Global EHS Independent Business Monitoring (IBM) function is a core part of GSKs Governance processes and forms part of the multitiered approach to assurance. Reporting to the Global Head of EHS&S IBM GSK (GSK Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability), this important role is responsible for maintaining EHS&S IBM data quality, as well as providing data analysis insight, identifying trends, and developing high-quality visualisations and reports.
The Data Analysts role will support:
- Generation, analysis, and visualisation of EHS&S data.
- Development of ad-hoc and routine reports and presentations.
- Planning, scheduling, and managing schedules for internal audits and other assurance activities.
- Innovation of processes and programs.
Key Responsibilities (includes):
- Ensure data set-up processes meet GSK compliance requirements in ensuring the EHS&S IBM team meets all relevant audit control requirements.
- Verify that data is consistent and meets the expectations of field content, and that the supporting data files have been collected.
- Ensure EHS&S IBM data quality, including controls and driving improvement opportunities.
- Collect, manage, and analyse data (findings, RCA, CAPA, feedback, good practices etc.) for internal audits and other IBM activities.
- Create high quality visualisations and reports which can be easily interpreted to identify trends and provide insights.
- Support a KPI reporting system and provide the business with monthly KPI collation, validation, and publication to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide annual reports summarizing and analysing GSK EHS IBM data.
- Develop annual schedule of Internal audits (prioritizing sites and topics).
- Operate within and manage as required the various aspects of the GSK EHS IBM management system (e.g., data and document requirements; quality reviews; audits; travel and audit risk assessments; end of year reports).
- Apply an innovation mind set to continually bringing ideas to enhance the IBM program.
Travel Regional and global will be required dependent on organizational need (circa 10%)
Location: Ideally you will be based in the UK but high-calibre applicants from European locations will also be considered (the team largely operates around European working hours).
This role is a Data-analysis role so experience in data-analysis is a pre-requisite for the role. Knowledge and experience of Environment, Health & Safety would also be highly advantageous. You will utilise your Data-analysis / technical knowledge and skills to add value to the IBM team, as well as to sites and above-site functions that you interact with.
Relevant data-analysis background and education (eg; Degree qualified in statistics, mathematics, computer science or similar technical field).
Excellent Excel Skills (VBA experience preferred).
Proficient with programming languages such as SQL & Python (for preparing large datasets for consumption in downstream applications/BI tools).
Proficient in developing PowerBI, Power Apps and other BI tools.
