A role in the National Supply Chain Forecasting Team is a great opportunity to play a key part in shaping the future department and its ways of working. You will gain valuable experience working on a global transformation project and become a real expert at the end of it. You will form relationships with GB/IE colleagues across all domains and also across the Aldi global network of countries.
You will be instrumental in User Acceptance Testing and training of a new forecasting and replenishment system. You will also support the Supply Chain Deployment Team and will work with representatives from across all business and IT domains. As the department and the AHEAD programme evolves, so will the role. As such you will require a proactive approach and a high level of multi-tasking and resilience.
The role would suit a degree qualified data scientist with knowledge of R Studio, Python and analytics software, confident working with Big Data and analysing trends and making recommendations. A confident individual with great communication skills would be ideally suited to this opportunity.

Your new role
- Data analysis, data maintenance, data representation
- Ability to create business reports
- Ability to identify gaps in the new processes and define new ones as required
- Create PowerPoint presentations to illustrate processes
Business Readiness:
- Data cleansing and readiness of existing systems
- Process definition and testing
- Creating training materials
- Planning and delivery of training to business users
Project management
- Ensures deadlines are complied with in area of responsibility
- Provides updates to Deployment Lead
- Reporting of risks, issues and business readiness status
- Identification of cross domain risks
- Identifies and communicates project information necessary for senior management decision making
- Supports creation and maintenance deployment project plans
- Supports creation of rollout plans in conjunction with test regions and third parties as required
About you
- Graduate degree in data science, data analytics.
- Previous experience in SAP forecasting and replenishment solutions is desirable.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to proactively work towards challenging deadlines through multitasking and resilience.
- Flexibility for travel requirements to Europe and throughout GB/IE necessary.
