This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Data Analyst will include:
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills:
- Strong business acumen, and the ability to translate ???data??? to a ???business story??? and effectively communicate it to business stakeholders and partners.
- Experience with A|B testing
- SME with Tableau, PBI, Python or Alteryx
- Collaborative team player orientation towards work relationships, strong culture awareness
- Skilled in project management and oversight skills
- Skilled in priority setting and alignment of project priorities with business strategy
- Ability to break down complex problems and projects into manageable goals
- Ability to influence people across the organization. Ability to act as a change agent.
- Skilled in communicating the benefits of Data analysis to business line professionals to create a value proposition, including executive level audiences.
- Effectiveness in building trust, respect and cooperation among teams
- Experience supporting diverse and creative technical teams in a fast-paced environment
Data Analyst
Job Requirements
As a Data Analyst you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Data integration using SQL
- Business Intelligence / Reporting Tools: Tableau, Power BI, Excel, SAS, SPSS
- Ability to identify useful information in data sets and suggest conclusions that support decision making
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Understanding of data gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and analyzing techniques
- Communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience.
- Excellent collaboration and project management skills
- Big data tools such as Hadoop, Greenplum, Spark, Hue, and Alteryx
- Business intelligence and data visualization tools including PowerBI, Tableau
- Proficiency in one of the following programming languages is desired: Python, R, Postgres, and HQL/SQL
- Knowledgeable of statistical methods such as regression, probability analysis, risk analysis, statistical process control, and clustering is desired
- 5-7 years??? experience translating business needs to data requirements, turning data into compelling stories, and completing the full cycle from data to measurable outcomes.
- Bachelor???s / Master???s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, information technology, business, engineering or related field
