The Equities Platform Technology Team is seeking a Cloud Engineer that will be dedicated to building and implementing cloud based solutions for Portfolio Managers. The role will entail working directly with portfolio managers and their teams. Moreover, you will also be interacting with application support, developers and infrastructure teams by functioning as both a solutions architect, helping them implement their own solutions in the cloud, and as a professional services engineer, implementing solutions for them in AWS/GCP.
This is a hands-on role and candidates must have experience deploying and supporting their own production ready code in AWS/GCP as well as automating the build and management of a broad range of cloud infrastructure. Candidates should have experience designing and implementing CI/CD tools with infrastructure as code pipelines, containerization, networking, security, automated configuration and state management, cross system orchestration and monitoring.
You are a person of high integrity, who believes in continuous improvement and not satisfied with status quo. Successful candidates will also have experience interfacing with non-technical business users/clients.
- Architect, develop and maintain internal cloud platform components, frameworks and offerings
- Architects, develops and works with a team of cloud engineers expected to build and own next gen cloud solutions in AWS/GCP
- Help customers architect, develop and maintain their own solutions
- Identifies core problems or opportunities within business processes and partners with business leaders to prioritize continuous improvements.
- Adopt "Build, Test, Deploy" and "Operate & Manage" capabilities within the internal business unit.
- Has input to codifying standards and guardrails, packaging, self-service and automation for internal engineering and business teams.
Desired Qualifications/Skills
- 3+ years of experience architecting, developing, or maintaining internal cloud platform components, frameworks and offerings
- 3+ years development experience in Python
- Associate/Professional level certifications for AWS and/or GCP
- Experience supporting production cloud environments
- Systems engineering knowledge, including understanding of Linux, security, and networking
- Cloud templating tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Cloud Deployment Manager Templates
- Cloud Networking including connectivity, routing, DNS, VPCs, proxies, and load balancers
- Cloud Security including IAM, Certificate Management, and Key management
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Self-starter able to own projects and execute under tight deadlines and pressure
