Two days per week in the Gloucester office is required.
A leading technology company are looking for a hardworking and professional Cloud Engineer with experience building and managing container orchestration platforms in Openshift and/or Kubernetes. You will keep up-to-date information on current and emerging technologies in the cloud-native space, whilst extending functionality through the Kubernetes operator framework.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Cloud Engineer, you will be,
-Building and extending the companies supporting services, tooling, and observability that keep this manageable at scale
-Extending Kubernetes functionality using the Kubernetes operator framework
-Implementing the use of new products and improvements, through research of current market trends and new technologies
-Assessing the efficiency of open-source solutions to solve problems
-Communicating globally, to design, develop and implement applications, services and platform components for PaaS product platforms and ecosystems in the cloud
-Creating public-facing cloud services through tooling and automation technologies, like terraform and ansible
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
As a Cloud Engineer, you need,
-Previous experience as a cloud engineer, or in a similar role, building container orchestration platforms in Openshift/Kubernetes
-A working knowledge of Python or Golang is essential
-The confidence to thrive and adapt in a constantly evolving and fast-paced environment
-Experience with debugging, solving complex issues, open-source logging and observability solutions
-A solid understanding of version control and CI/CD principles, and DevOps/ Cloud-Native Development practices
-An understanding of TCP/IP Networking, Load Balancing, Firewalling, Routing protocols, Ansible, Terraform, and microservice architecture
