You will work on fast-paced and often greenfield projects, working closely with customers and alongside a collaborative team. Projects range from well-architected reviews and remediation, through to cloud migrations and modernisation. Engineers will also have the opportunity to contribute to an internal product, develop skills in a wide range of technologies, and be involved were interested in many areas of the business as part of a small, supportive, and dynamic team.
What we are looking for:
Someone capable of architecting some AWS workloads, related to migration/modernisation of systems mostly in AWS. Someone who is used to project Agile/Kanban styles with ownership of not dropping the ball with close relationships with the client and act as lead with other Cloud Engineers/ Consultants in the project team.
You should have experience designing, deploying and managing AWS environments. You should be comfortable working directly with customers, have good communication skills, and be comfortable working with clients on calls and in written English.
Expertise in several of the following areas is highly desirable:
- AWS certification (Professional or Associate level), but there will also be opportunities to gain (further) certification.
- Infrastructure as code, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Automation, scripting in bash and PowerShell, and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef and SaltStack.
- CI/CD pipelines.
- Serverless, Kubernetes, and traditional application stacks.
- Operating and managing production cloud applications.
- Agile/iterative development methodologies.
- Programming languages and/or scripting languages.
