GoodData is designed to do big data analytics on applications that live in the cloud. GoodData has created a big data solution for companies that want to cater for their customers and who want to integrate big data analytics in their own platform. On the on-hand the focus on mid-sized SaaS vendors and on the other hand on high-tech companies. Data can be loaded from any source, ranging from Facebook, SalesForce, structured, unstructured to internal data sources.

It is very scalable and customers can get GoodData operational within days.They have created several pre-built big data analytics apps that can be used by organisations to gain more real-time insights. These Apps range from cross-object reporting, insights in how marketing activities contribute to revenue to holistic views of how content is managed within organisations. Apps include Sales Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Box Analytics, Yammer Analytics, and Service Analytics.

The objective of GoodData is to create a user experience that brings big data to the business and can be sold to business and marketing managers without the need for a large pool of big data scientists to create the analytics working. Therefore they combine cloud-based analytics, data storage, collaboration tools and visualization tools all in one. In an interview on Venturebeat, CEO, Roman Stanek called it earlier the “LinkedIn of Business Intelligence.”
