SUMMARY:Advances in Data Science 2019
DESCRIPTION:We recently opened a call for abstracts for Advances in Data Science 2019\, an international two-day conference. This year’s meeting is themed around four topics: Health & Wellbeing\, AI & Robotics\, NLP & Text Mining and Security & Privacy. Talks will range from application-focussed to advanced data science methodologies.’Advances in Data Science 2019 is set to build upon the success of the 2018’conference which took place last May. \nThe exciting line up of expert speakers will include leading data scientists from industry and academia from across the world.\n\n\nConfirmed speakers:\n\n\n\n\n\nDanushka Bollegala\, University of Liverpool\nSilvia Chiappa\, DeepMind\nYiannis Demiris\, Imperial College London\nSarah Filippi\, Imperial College London\nGeorgio Metta\, IIT Italian Institute of Technology\, Genoa\, Italy\nMarion Oswald\, University of Winchester\nPaul Taylor\, Lancaster University\nCatalina Vallejos\, University of Edinburgh\nByron Wallace\, Northeastern University\, USA\nChris Williams\, University of Edinburgh\nPierre Zweigenbaum\, CNRS\, Paris\n\n\n\n\nThis event is organised by Professor Magnus Rattray\n(University of Manchester)\, Professor Sophia Ananiadou\n(University of Manchester)\, Professor Emma Barrett\n(University of Manchester)\,\nProfessor Angelo Cangelosi\n(University of Manchester)\n& Dr Danielle Belgrave\n(Microsoft).\n\n\nThe standard registration fee is\n120\, with a student registration fee of\n80 and a one day registration fee of\n60. The cost of the optional workshop dinner on Monday evening is\n50. To book your place in the conference please’click here.\n\n\nAbstracts and Presentations\n‘To be considered for a short oral presentation or poster please submit an abstract through the meeting’s easychair submission page. Abstracts should be prepared on one side of A4 (pdf format) and should describe new or recently published data science research. We will consider submissions which demonstrate advances in data science or AI methodology and/or applications of data science. This year’s meeting is themed around four topics: Health & Wellbeing\, AI & Robotics\, NLP & Text Mining and Security & Privacy.\n\n\nWe will keep a small number of spaces available until after decisions on submissions are released to ensure that speakers for accepted contributed presentations can register.
