SUMMARY:Agile\, DevOps & Testing: The Evolving Scene
DESCRIPTION:The sixty eight words in the Agile Manifesto written in 2001 had revolutionised software development and also business in general. Almost every business sector is ‘doing Agile’ in some form or another. But there also has been criticism of the approach and some have struggled and failed. Twenty years on\, recent survey shows a high level of Agile immaturity as it appears that the simple principles are hard to do well. One reason could be the uncertainty in the current work world\, so organisations need to shift the Agile ways of working\, and investigate how they adopt and use agile practices. They should examine how others have done so and what practical value they found\nadapt agile-based\, practices suited to their particular needs over technical practices and de?ned methodologies. \nThe term DevOps is about eight years old but it continues to gain momentum as big organisations have made validating investments in it. This isn’t exactly new. Many industry watchers believe it’s no longer a question of if your organization will adopt these practices\, but when. And yet DevOps is still evolving\, as are the tools and technologies that support it. There are\, now\, a number of technologies that weren’t initially considered\, but are now have become quite essential. Industry analyst Gartner says of this evolving discipline now ‘demands a linked tools chain of technologies to facilitate collaborative change’. So the question to you is what you’ll be adopting. \nTesters have always been at the coal face of ensuring that ‘stuff works as it should’. DESCRIPTION:The Robonomics Winter School is an excellent opportunity for software developers and all interested to gain invaluable knowledge on working with the Robonomics Network and related packages for building Dapps and operating blockchain technologies and coding.’The Robonomics Network invites all interested to join the courses and take advantage of the unique opportunity of gaining firsthand knowledge from industry experts. \nRobonomics – an open-source platform for IoT applications that supports a new generation of internet technologies implementing the exchange of technical and economic information in the form of atomic transactions between user applications\, IoT services\, and complex robotics. \nFor over two years\, core developers have been developing Robonomics\, a Substrate-based chain designed to control robotic and IoT devices. In May 2019\, the Robonomics team finished their first tests of Cumulus and plan to launch this chain as a Kusama parachain as soon as this is possible. The Robonomics parachain will allow the community to launch industrial manipulators\, collect telemetry from sensors and create routes for autopilot drones using transactions. \nTopics to be discussed:\n– What are Robonomics and Robonomics parachain?\n– How can you use a set of software for connecting IoT devices?\n– Decentralized cloud infrastructure for IoT.\n– How to create digital twins on the blockchain.\n– App Store for robotics. \nMaster classes include overviews of Robonomics io\, using prepared digital twin templates for connecting with services\, using Robonomics.js to interact via Dapps with digital twins of devices\, and much more. \nThe Robonomics Network invites all interested to join the courses and take advantage of the unique opportunity of gaining firsthand knowledge from industry experts.
