Datadog provides a platform for monitoring the IT infrastructure as well as monitoring operations and development teams who write and run applications. The platform allows users to turn application data into actionable insights. In the platform’s newsfeed you can see source code commits from Github, system alerts from Nagios and user alerts from Pingdom and many others.

Normally these services would send e-mails regarding updates, but that can become overwelhming. Datadog calls itself a “monitoring-as-a-service” provider that allows users to see minute-by-minute what is happening on their network. The platform also allows easy collaboration among the team members, as events can be turned into conversations easily.

The dashboard provides various graphs about what’s happening and all graphs are in sync, meaning users can better spot what it is when something is happening. Users can start for free to learn how the platform works and to find out whether it is what they are looking for. Currently they have already over 40 tools and services integrated that user can connect to the platform; ranging from Amazon Web Services to Python or Ubuntu.

When connected they aggregate, prioritize and graph all that data into one place and they deliver the right insights to the relevant team members.
